GCSE Classroom Ltd
- Introduction
Welcome to GCSE Classroom Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform, including our online learning tools, AI-marked exam questions, exam builder, quizzes, downloadable resources, and other educational content available at https://thepeclassroom.com (“Website”).
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
- Membership and Access
2.1 School Memberships
- Schools may purchase memberships to provide access for teachers and pupils.
- Schools can choose between two membership tiers:
- Teacher Package – Access for teachers only.
- Teacher & Pupil Package – Access for both teachers and pupils.
- Each school membership grants login credentials for teachers and pupils for a specified subscription period (usually 12 months, but longer options are available).
- Schools may purchase access to one or more subjects individually.
2.2 Pupil Memberships
- Individual pupils may purchase memberships separately.
- Pupil memberships provide access to selected subjects for the duration of the subscription.
2.3 Teacher Accounts
- Teacher accounts are set up by The PE Classroom Ltd after a school purchases a membership.
- Teachers can manually create pupil logins and manage their classes within their Teacher Dashboard.
2.4 Account Use & Restrictions
- Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Each user must use their individual credentials.
- Teachers must not share their login credentials with pupils or other staff members.
- Users must act respectfully and comply with all applicable laws when using the platform.
- Payments and Refunds
3.1 Payment Methods
- Schools are invoiced directly for memberships.
- Individual memberships (e.g., pupil memberships) require payment online via Stripe before access is granted.
3.2 Refund Policy
- We do not offer refunds on memberships.
- Schools purchasing memberships enter into a business-to-business (B2B) agreement, which does not include refund rights.
- Individual users (e.g., pupils or teachers purchasing memberships) are only entitled to a refund if the service is faulty or not provided as described.
- A 30-day free trial is available for teachers to explore the platform before committing.
- Free sample topics are available for all users to try before purchasing a membership.
- Once teacher logins have been created, invoices cannot be cancelled, voided, or credited as schools have had access to downloadable resources and membership benefits.
- Platform Services
4.1 AI Marking Disclaimer
- Our platform provides AI-marked exam questions to support learning.
- While we strive for high accuracy, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy of AI-generated marks or feedback.
- Teachers should review AI-marked responses to ensure fairness and reliability.
4.2 Availability of Services
- We aim to provide uninterrupted access to our platform but do not guarantee availability at all times.
- We may perform scheduled maintenance or upgrades, which could result in temporary downtime.
- In the event of unexpected prolonged downtime where access is unavailable for an extended period, we may, at our discretion, offer an extension of service or credit towards future use.
- Force Majeure
- We shall not be held responsible for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Server failures or cyberattacks
- Internet disruptions
- Natural disasters
- Government actions or regulatory changes
- If such an event prevents us from fulfilling our obligations for a prolonged period, we will work to resolve the issue as soon as possible and may, at our discretion, provide an extension or credit.
- User Responsibilities
- Users must use the platform only for educational purposes.
- Users must not engage in:
- Misuse of the platform, including hacking or attempting to access unauthorized content.
- Any form of plagiarism or dishonest academic conduct.
- Sharing or distributing paid content outside of their school or personal use.
- Intellectual Property
- All content on the platform, including quizzes, videos, AI-marked assessments, and downloadable resources, remains the intellectual property of The PE Classroom Ltd.
- Users may not copy, distribute, or sell content without permission.
- Liability and Disclaimers
- Our platform provides educational support but is not a substitute for professional teaching.
- We are not responsible for exam results or academic outcomes based on platform use.
- We are not liable for loss of data, service interruptions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
- In the event of a complete system failure lasting an extended period, we will make reasonable efforts to restore service as soon as possible and may, at our discretion, offer an extension of service or alternative compensation.
- Termination of Access
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts if users violate these Terms.
- No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to misuse.
- Privacy and Data Protection
- Our use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
- By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of data as outlined in our policies.
- Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
- Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
